Liz Park in Her Own Words
Liz currently is a director in the creditor rights group within the Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice in our New York office. She has been with the firm for six years.
“This was my first job after college. I’d majored in mathematics and economics, but the firm paid for me to take accounting classes at New York University that really helped my professional development.
“I’m now part of the restructuring group and work primarily on bankruptcy cases, mostly from the creditor side. That involves dealing with the debtors to reorganize and/or liquidate companies in order to maximize creditor recovery. I really enjoy the variety of assignments. No two projects are ever alike, and I’m constantly learning new things and taking on different challenges.
“The most important thing I’ve learned here is that the best thing you can do for clients is to make their lives as easy as possible. I always try to anticipate what they’re interested in seeing, what types of questions they will raise, what kind of results they are expecting. It’s about taking complex concepts and ideas and packaging them for client consumption without losing the vital points.”
Sherrie Weldon in Her Own Words
Sherrie is a senior managing director in our Strategic Communications practice. She is based in our San Francisco office and has been with the firm for three and a half years.
"My colleagues at FTI Consulting have such exceptional skills and expertise that I learn something new from them every day. It's gratifying to work in a place where the solution to nearly any business challenge is a phone call away to one of our incredibly smart consultants around the world."
Aneet Grewal in His Own Words
Aneet is part of our tax consulting group in the Corporate Finance practice. He is a consultant and is based in our London office.
“I am not going to pretend that I was interested in a career in tax from a young age; however, the more I learned about the multiple facets of such a career path, the more interested I became. Moreover, the portfolio of skills that I had acquired during my undergraduate degree was highly complementary to this career − so my decision was made!
FTI Consulting has continuously supported me in obtaining my professional qualifications and has allowed me to assume responsibility early on, thereby enhancing the training experience.
Furthermore, I have been able to exercise my inquisitive mentality by gaining exposure to and learning about the different industries within which our clients operate.”
Philippa Forde in Her Own Words

“The economic and financial consulting team at FTI Consulting has been growing fast these last two years, with such a variety of interesting projects starting all the time.
As a result, projects and responsibilities are constantly evolving. The office atmosphere is friendly and highly supportive as everyone is approachable and encouraging of learning.
FTI Consutling is an international company, and as such, has given me the opportunity to work in our Paris office for a year’s secondment. It’s a really exciting time to be part of FTI.”
Tommy Sit in His Own Words
Tommy is a Forensic and Litigation consultant based in our London office. He has been with FTI Consulting for the past three years.
“Working in the Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice at FTI Consulting has been an interesting experience. I have assisted on projects ranging from patent disputes in multimillion dollar frauds, to asset tracing to matrimonial disputes. The use of small teams allows for junior staff to take a more active role on cases. This can be challenging at first, especially for graduates with no working experience. However, managers are always supportive and willing to explain and guide junior staff. I am particularly grateful for this aspect as it has allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills early on in my career.”
