Jonathon Brill is a senior managing director in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting and is based in London.
Experience
With 25 years of experience in financial communications, Mr. Brill advises a number of leading companies in the retail and leisure sectors including Tesco, Debenhams, Inchcape, Sports Direct, Matalan, SABMiller, Stock Spirits and Gruppo Campari, as well as BAE Systems and RUSAL. As well as advising clients on their ongoing corporate and financial communications programmes, Mr. Brill has advised on a wide range of high profile M&A transactions and IPO's. He advised John Hargreaves on his bid for Matalan; Genting Berhad on their offer for Stanley Leisure; Reg Vardy on its sale to Pendragon and Paul Taylor on his proposed bid for Sainsbury. He has also advised on both of the recent acquisitions of Liverpool Football Club and Newcastle United. More recently he advised Stan Kroenke on his Offer for Arsenal Football Club and is advising SABMiller on its current proposal to the Board of Fosters.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was Managing Director of Bell Pottinger Financial where he worked for 13 years. At Bell Pottinger he advised clients such as BSkyB and Asda for 10 years through their acquisition by Wal-Mart and also through Asda/Wal-Mart’s proposed offer for Safeway.
